Kevin, since your filter is so tall, would it even fit on the manifold without interfering with something else? Maybe the larger filter canister was used on the big trucks or semis?
Otto, I think the S-2 was originally used on the bigger trucks. I believe the Tech Tip on oil filters mentions that.
I think it would fit on the manifold without interference, but hanging something that heavy on it might cause problems. It has two straps around it that fasten it to the bracket.
