Here is a picture of both an oil bath air filter and a correctly mounted by-pass oil filter on my ‘52 with a 235. To my knowledge, they would both be correct for your ‘53 216.
HEY!!! Are you saying my oil filter isn't correctly mounted????? I can't see that a 2 quart S-2 filter would be "correct" if mounted on the manifold.
BTW, you need to DRIVE that truck and get some road grime in that engine compartment. It's almost too pretty.
