| | | | Joined: Oct 2017 Posts: 12 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2017 Posts: 12 | Got a mostly stock 1946 pickup with a 216. The guy I bought it from put in an new aftermarket distributor. Overall it runs ok but lags a little bit when I give it gas from the stopped position. It runs fine when the choke is out.(no lag) This aftermarket distributor doesn't have any vacuum advance to the carburetor on it. Maybe this is my issue? Would putting an original style distributor on the truck with a Vacuum line to the carb to fix the issue?
