Well I'm getting closer to getting my truck back to work. I'd like to get it as mechanically sound as I can, so I can haul firewood, gravel...etc around the farm. 66c60

It doesn't have a name, but Nellie, my three year old daughter calls it, "Dad's big old truck". I've had more fun working on it, (my wife calls it playing) in the last three months than I've had in a long time. And I've gotten alot of help and learned a great deal on The Stovebolt Pages. Thanks everyone!
So far I've replaced the water pump and hoses, rebuilt the carb, new master cyl, serviced the hydrovac and vaccum system, and other stuff.

I replaced the cracked exhaust manifold on the 292 ,with one I got from my bo-in-law, but it has a 2 bolt flange, and angled back 2" dia.outlet. The original is 3 bolt, straight down outlet, and 2.5" dia. I didn't notice the difference in diameter till I was going to put the exhaust system on. frown I thought I'd just try to find another manifold like the original but they seem to be very rare...? I've checked ebay, salvage yards, and Stovebolt's swap, but no luck. Any advice?
My next project is re-wiring. I bought a wiring harness from Hot Rod Wires, Looks like fun!!
Well I got a lead on a junkyard nearby so I'm headed there to check them out. Wish me luck!!
Thanks again,
Bill
