Jon, what is your typical starting point for cutting an oddball gasket you don’t keep in stock? A physical gasket? Some sort of template on paper? The carb surface itself?
I don’t care to carefully read this whole comparison, but my quick glance at it left me with the following impression:

One of my wife’s friends has the bigger Cricut unit and runs a little side-hustle business with it. I can ask how she would produce the kind of stuff we are trying to make. I suspect from what I’ve learned thus far…there might be one additional intermediate step compared to your brother unit.
Then again, I’ve gone out of my way to spend zero on this effort and done everything from a phone with and no cords connecting anything. If one logged into an actual computer and spent a few bucks on the non-free version of the software…it might be pretty darned easy.
