For all those at the edge of their seats, here’s an update on the conversion of nc files to svg format…..
It can be done, but it’s not quite the silver bullet I was thinking. Comes through with some extra lines that would have to be cleaned up in Cricut’s clunky app. I assume they might be lines related to the movement of the cutter in a true CNC file?
I’ll do some more fiddling, but it might be more practical to just scan and create an SVG file. The other night I was lazy and just testing the concept from a cell picture. The result was surprisingly good, but I’m sure a scan would be better.
