Here's a diagram of the modification to the 235 crankshaft:
The small diameter rod journal is for a Nissan 2.4 L engine which has a connecting rod 6.498" long. This slightly shorter rod than a stovebolt engine, and a Ford 223 cubic inch piston works with a 235 engine, and pistons for 215 or 350 Buick engines work for 216's and 261's. Displacement ends up from 258 to 270, to 292, depending on which block is being used. Jerry
