While just about anything can be repaired with enough investment of time, money and effort, would you be comfortable betting your life on a repair of a stressed point that carries the weight of the vehicle and absorbs every bump the spring encounters? Even if I played high stakes poker, I don't think I'd be betting on an inside straight like that repair would resemble. Frames in much better condition aren't all that scarce or expensive.
