Is your vacuum advance hooked up and working? Are you checking the timing with it connected or disconnected?
What's the fuel line pressure?
Have you checked the fuel pump flow? Disconnect it at the carb and put the hose in a bottle and see if you get good flow while cranking for a few seconds...should give you a few ounces pretty quick.
