Had a vehicle back in my racing days that had a rather loud exhaust. The old lady across the street had the Police on speed dial so every time I started it up she would call. They never caught me so late one night she snuck across the street and put a couple of handfuls of grass clippings in the gas tank. I could drive for about 10 minutes until some of it got within sucking range of the fuel outlet. The car would die and the debris would float away from the pickup and it would start again. Took me the better part of one afternoon at the race track to figure it out and fix it. Check your fuel flow.
