Trent. Did you ever find a gas tank ? I am working on a 48 GMC 1 Ton which I suspect has the same tank. Unfortunately, previously in its life someone partially cut off the filler spout when a hoist was added to the truck. I have now removed the hoist and I am looking at fabricating a filler spout. Would it be possible for you (or somehow else) to post a picture of the gas tank filler spout? Note that there are no holes in the box (unlike the 1/2 and 3/4 tons) and hence I suspect that the filler spout goes up between the box and the back of the cab. Thanks.
