After much discussion, it was determined that that I did not have enough air pressure. I was running 35 psi, As was specified on the tire (6 ply 11.00x18 tubeless "Gamma Goat", the original DUKW tires were 12 ply. Tires, tubes, flats were all new.I am now running 50 psi. Looks like the tube was chaffing against the tire, because of the low pressure. These tires are a high flotation type. I have the orginal 7.50 x 20 wheels/tires, but I like the look of the combat wheels
