1955 1st 6 volts and still working. Mine came with the truck I purchased in 2017. A generic FLAPS battery.
Do a web search for Interstate battery failures.
Typically batteries have a one year or more warranty.
Battery manufacturers hope that customers do not save their purchase receipts or proof of purchase.
Take it back to the place you purchased from and fuss.
