I looked into that a while back. 1/2 tons converted to Bendix brakes for '51, but the larger trucks had Huck brakes a bit later than that. In '52, 3/4 tons and bigger still had Huck brakes. Can't really tell on '53 models as the page is barely readable in the Vehicle Info Kit (I think the same as in '54). In '54 Bendix were used across the board, except for rear brakes on 4000 and larger trucks.
