Don't know that this helps, but I have a 48 2 ton with brakets at the forward rear spring pearches and a behind cab cross shaft for cable operated in wheel parking brakes. Missing the cables now, but it did come with them from the factory.

I would say that cable operated parkig brake is not a deciding factor between axle size in at least some years?
