$15,000 up here to buy, restore, and drive would never happen if you took it somewhere. You’d be lucky to do it for that yourself.

I’ve been down the rabbit hole of trying to fix these old girls up. One failure. One success. It is always at least double what you envision it will cost.

Buy the best you can afford. Rust wise, price wise, condition wise and drive it. Enjoy it. Or fix it up more.

Fixing takes way longer than you expect.
