I have done a lot of 55.2-59 trucks. My advice is:
1. Post pics of the cracks.
2. Get advice to fix the cracks.
3. Use easy to install universal tubular cross member motor mount and trans mount.
4. Keep the stock front axle and rear axle.
5. Put in Chevy small block.
6. Fix brakes, wire it, Drive it.
