Jerry, you're correct about that genuine gold dust! Caterpillar has or will raise the price of parts 15% this year, and availability is another thing. I've got a D11t engine at work I started on March 14th and just now received the last few parts.
Update on the truck- The only wires hooked up were the battery cables so that might've caused a little issue. Now has spark and cranks evenly. I suspect it is a 261 or larger engine, definitely not the 216 it would've had. Only got to work on it a little today. We're both working on it for an elderly gentleman and my neighbor is the guy running the show, so I'm at his mercy. Wednesday will be the next day to look at it. I'll see what I can do picture wise. Thought it was neat that there are two heaters under the dash, one on the passenger side as normal and another that appears to be an electric heater by the steering column. Can't say that there's nothing wrong with the radio, it didn't make a peep.
