My neighbor recruited me about an hour ago to work on a very nice original 48 loadmaster. Used to belong to the Anderson Poindexter funeral home here in town and hasn't been on the road in many years. According to the stickers it had 47,000 miles in 67 and now reads 53,000. Don't know where it's been stored but not even a hint of a mouse motel. The current owner has been playing with it and got it out of time. The carburetor looks to have a stuck float and it needs an undetermined amount of brake work, but we'll be diving into it tomorrow. Should be a relatively easy and fun after-work project for a week or two. Maybe it'll motivate me a little to do more work on my 54. I've put off doing the body work on her but she still runs and moves!
