On my '69 Chevy C10, 250, inline 6, there is a capacitor mounted on the firewall right next to the fusebox. It has no connector but a black wire coming directly out of it into a taped wire harness. The only exit from the harness of a black wire is to the oil sensor next to the dip stick. Without scraping insulation off and checking continuity, does anyone know what this capacitor is for? It does not show up on any of my wiring diagrams or wire layout pictures.
