Hi there. I'm new to these old chevy trucks so help me out. There is a 1954 or 1955 chevy 6400? (GVW 16000) near me. It is $free$ so that is enticing but I just want to know what could be expensive to replace on this truck. I want it to look nice but I would use the dump bed if I take it so it will be a working truck. Engine is free, only two dents on the sheetmetal, hydraulic dump, 13' flat bed, 4-speed went easily through all gears. I know the brakes need attention, the carb needs cleaned from sitting and all the glass is bad. Any tips for anything pertaining to this truck would be appreciated.
