Carbon Tet has a well-deserved bad reputation for causing some serious health concerns, including some types of cancer. Back in the dark ages it was used in the old brass canister fire extinguishers, and machinists loved the stuff as a drilling and tapping lubricant. If you choose to use it as a degreaser, have a fan going to blow the fumes away from yourself to avoid breathing them.
