Chuck, I like the 7/32 gaskets too.
I've had really good luck over the years with valve cover, timing cover and pan gaskets..... after installing and running it a few days go back and give the screws a "tweak" and that should "set" the gasket. Especially on total rebuilds.

Ever so often, when changing the oil on my vehicles I will "snug", just a little, the gaskets mentioned above. A '76 with 200k, and a 2000 Silverado with 326K and never a leak on the carport or ground....maybe I'm just lucky?!
