Won't the "failsafe" in our application in our old trucks simply be "manual steering" just like before the addition of the electric unit?
In "failsafe" mode, the unit still works as long as it's powered.
If the power was switched off or failed from (e.g.) a blown fuse, you would be back to manual steering (just like before the unit was installed)
