Sliding across the seat isn't an option on an old 1-ton with the shift lever and the parking brake sticking out of the floor. Then I added the brownie and that lever plus my size 12 boots ... well forget it. I put hot-rod door poppers on both sides and now I can lock both sides from the driver's seat and unlock them with the key fob. Much better! If I leave it for an extended time I still lock the passenger side with the key in case the battery runs flat. If you lock the passenger door with the handle, you can't unlock it with the key.
