Tim’s link to the 1955 data says the correct thermostat begins opening at 148-156 F. and fully opens at 176 F. Does this describe a 160 or a 180 F. thermostat? If it makes any difference, I’m more concerned about overheating in the summer than I am about having a hot heater.
