The vacuum advance will not hold a vacuum. It won't even build up a small amount temporarily. I can hear the diaphragm moving but it holds zero pressure. I tested it with one of those gun-type vacuum testers with a gauge on top.
Getting ready to do a compression test now. The instructions say to warm the engine to normal operating temp before doing the test but I doubt I can keep the thing running that long, so not sure what to do there.
