back when I was deciding on tires/rims, i had sandblasted and painted six original split rims. My trusted and local tire shop said that the rubber/tube with bent tube air valve combo that we selected could not be balanced. I then borrowed a set of tire with split rims from a buddy with a driver 1 ton chevy in Saskatchewan and found the ride to be wobbly, therefore I decided to go tubeless. I am glad to hear that you bolters have had success with the split. With this new found knowledge I can reconsider if I ever want to go that way. I love the 38 Wayne, and look forward to seeing your Truck Doyle. thankyou John for the knowledge to question my local tire shop. I will certainly mention this to my local tire shop.
