After having done the “easy swap for better sixes “ I should have just drilled the holes in the front plate and run with it. That would have been a better way to go instead of pulling the plates and cams to do the swap. Live and learn. You should be able to use the front mounts. I did this in an off topic ‘46 coupe and had to run an electric pusher fan in front of the radiator because the later 235 is too close to use the original fan, even with the short shaft water pump. I don’t know if your truck would have this clearance issue or not.
