The 270 in my 370 grain truck is tired. Cracked head, oil leaks, worn cylinders, etc. I have an old 61 International grain truck with the straight six in it - engine is great but about everything else is junk. Will it be easier to mate the IH engine to the GM transmission or fix reverse in the IH transmission and swap both the engine and transmission out.
?

I know it will be a step down in power, but I don’t haul grain with the old GMC anymore - just other farm stuff. Everything else on it is good, so I’d like to find an “easy” way to swap out something I already have sitting around.
