My two cents! Practice several double flares before you get started. It took me a few before I got the hang of it.
I also found that you can make bends in CuNi with your hands but they look more professional if you use a bending tool. Learn what the markings on the bender mean and how the work. You can measure and calculate the bend so it ends up where you want it too rather than doing it by eye.
