Before deciding on a “rust converter” product you should check to insure your primer is compatible with said converter. Many epoxy primers do not play nicely with these acid type treatments. Having to repaint something, and giving the cost of paint supplies, it is imperative to get it right the first time. My suggestion is to start with your epoxy primer and check with THAT manufacturer to see if their product is compatible with these rust converters.
