I picked up a Borg-Warner Overdrive Unit to be installed in a 7-Bolt Saginaw 4-Speed Trans for my '72 C-10. I'm still in the learning process and have a couple of questions to get started on it.
One would be the Electrics. Can they be eliminated or partially eliminated for it to be used more manually? I really don't need it to work as fancy as it was designed to be. As long as I can use the Trans as usual and just shift it into OD when I need it, is all I need.
Another question would be the Shifter. I have a 4-Speed Hurst. I have read in a place or two about interference. Will it need to be modified to work?
