Yes drill hooked to trans end of cable, sorry about the delay in response as I’ve been researching more info. The following is what I’ve come up with I’ve got sm420 trans but not sure about date codes matching my 57 truck(see pic) I’ve got a 13 tooth speedometer drive gear my rear axle ratio should be 5.14:1 as per specs in manual any information you can provide would be of help
