Doc.Hall, so I looked at the cable after your post and it appeared that the cable connection at the speedometer was broke and possibly short. I ordered a new cable and installed it and went for a drive to put some gas in it to test the new fuel gauge and sending unit. The speedometer is working though it’s about 3-5 mph behind gps.
So for now that is close enough for me. Thank you very much for your suggestions
