Fox, You may want to search "Shock Mounting". I had a great discussion with HRL (Jerry) and a few others on proper shock mounts and angle. As it turns out 45 to 90 degrees is optimal for installation and travel.

I haven't installed a 4 link as yet although it's in the plans for a friends F**d truck later this year. Good luck.
