In my opinion Spal makes the best ones (Italy) followed very closely by Flex-A-Lite (USA). It should have around 30 ohms resistance (leads not connected to anything...just resistance across the fan motor). If the resistance is .01, that is basically an open circuit and tells me your fan motor may be gone. Good luck.
