| | | | Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 2,198 Insomniac | | Insomniac Joined: Jul 2000 Posts: 2,198 | I believe that the installation of a newer engine requires a longer accelerator rod. My '54 has a '62 engine. When they installed the new engine they lengthened the rod.
The rod sticks out 2 1/2"
