not a lot of room in there for a very thick back of seat unless you're my wifes size and same for the bottom cushion unless you've removed the gas tank mount. remember though the '37 original seat bottom is split for the gas filler and wouldn't be necessary for your truck. 38-39 springs would be better. not sure about 40-46, did the cab get wider? still say 3rd row "luxury" suv or minivan is the best.
