That appears to be a 230/250 engine, 63 up, with a HEI distributor added. The same engine was also used in GMC trucks through the 70's.

I’m thinking the same thing. I got to studying the picture of the motor and Google and that’s what I ended up on.
I think Martin is spot on. My biggest concerns would be how well they fit the body to the S-10 frame, whether it's a cobble job or nicely done.
