Wonder if the 45 degree job might unclutter the traffic jam with the fuel line, vac advance line, and draft tube. It’s an expensive little devil.
This is strictly a guess but I wonder if the 45 deg. fittings aren't offered as a way to use an earlier fuel pump with the straight across ports on a later engine where the ports are angled. Anyway the rebuild kit came in and I spent an hour today trying to get the new diaphragm to "hook" to the lever that rides on the cam. I had to walk away and cool down before I did something expensive. I've always been quick to anger so I don't deal with that type of situation well. I'll get it eventually but if anyone has a magic bullet solution I'm all ears.
