Are you sure the floor panel is too short? From your first image it looks okay to me. I am not certain of the 1939 trucks, but the reproduction floor panels for the 1941-46 trucks fit my 1 1/2 ton truck. As with all of the reproduction panels , they never seem to be perfect but it does fill the hole completely.
