If this is any help here's a key to Canadian serial number ID's.
It says, starting in 1935, a system was developed for GM vehicles produced in Canada. As an example---
A truck built in 1941 with a number such as:
1144300440 would be 1- first number for the year(2 would be for 1942 and so on)--14-means one ton (13 is half ton)---43 means cab and chassis--00440 means vehicle number.
The first 3/4 ton I see listed is in 1946 so if it's Canadian built it will have a VIN number starting with 6 followed by 14.
