Take the fan belt off and try it, process of elimination, could be the generator, or as some of
the old timers would do use a broom stick or wooden dowell up to your ear when it is making noise
and search arount the front of the motor to pinpoint the location. The 235 in that size truck should
have steel timing gears but who knows, that could be the noise.
