What type of reliability problems were you seeing? I have herd that if you take care of them and don't over rev them they should last 200-300K. But if you rev them to high they will loose connecting rods.
If the clutches are undersized I could see that being a problem....
Its eather something like this of a 500 caddy. So beleave me I have thought about the Big V8's. But if this can have similer performance + a better transmission + I end up with one for free.... I am game to try it.
