Yep definatly not a V6. I found a real nice website that talks alot about these engines.
www.348-409.com Even have a forum with alot of good info...mostly on the car vershons though. I read that the 348 is the one that origionaly came in that truck but who knows it anything was swaped.
408????was that a mistype or another engine size I hadn't heard of.
Don't know about gold but we worked out the deal on Sat...I pull everything I want (engine/tranny/body) and he runs it over to my shop with his trailer. All for the amazing price of an 18 pack of bud light.
