I don't think there's any right or wrong place to put these- whatever is the most convenient for you as the operator. Most of the ones I have seen are to the left of the steering column- kind of below the light switch. Just fasten them to the underside of the dash. But if you'd rather, you could put them on the other side, if it's more convenient. On one of my Internationals, they put them where the radio would have been- they used the holes for the radio knobs. The use of those cables gives you some flexibility in where you locate them.
