When modifying our rides one of the popular choices is to move the gas tank out of the cab. The easiest and ugliest is to put the filler tube in the bed floor. This also puts it in the way of anything that might be put in the bed and must be kept clear in case a fill up is needed. Here are a few options we have used depending on whether the bed sides are single wall or double wall.
Single wall 52 3100:
