Yes, I had a similar experience with my ‘52. One side was shorter than the other. The original is longer than the replacements that are available from the vendors. I did however get my short/long combination to temporarily work by adjusting the rod that goes up front. I have since got an original replacement.

My suggestion to you is to post in the “Truck “Parts Wanted” forum as that is how I got my original clevis.
