Guys thank you for all your input, the information was extremely helpful. Knowing this truck was from California I believe this was a attempt to be emission compliant as in the post by Buoymaker. Since there is only the one attachment still in play, removing it seems to be the best route, it also puts my truck closer to “original “ from the factory. One of my goals for this truck is have the driveline as original as possible. To me there’s no better feeling than cruising around in a machine older than me. Thanks for the help!
